Testimonials From Our Customers
I am so very thankful to have such wonderful food available for me and my family.
I start my day every day with 3 eggs from the farm with a little fresh cream, salt and pepper. I cook them in pastured pork lard, grass fed butter, coconut oil and olive oil. I dice up some pork belly (from the farm, of course) and make an omelet, drizzling the fat over the eggs. I punctuate this fabulous breakfast with a cup of coffee with some cocoa powder, cinnamon, stevia and fresh cream. It is pure heaven, and I am usually not hungry until dinner time.
For dinner, it's typically grass fed beef and whatever is in the produce share for the week all thrown into a cast iron skillet with cumin, turmeric, paprika, curry, cayenne, chili powder, salt and pepper. I am so very thankful to have such wonderful food available for me and my family.
Thank you Jan and Brock for keeping this operation going - I don't know if you realize how important and valuable your efforts are to our community.
Fresh organic, locally grown produce!
Superb people with superb products. My husband and I are blown away. We are becoming members after tasting the freshness that is organic, locally grown produce. The salad we made from our produce share was like none other we have had before. Placed our order today and can't wait for thursday. They offer mobile pick up sites as well to make life easier and their products more obtainable. I do suggest a pick up at the farm once in while. Love seeing the animals and the land. Wonderful folks!
We are hooked and are destined to be some of your best customers!
I would like to say for starters I have never been to the farm and have no clue who the owners are- so it's not like I am a friend writing a review for them. This is a totally honest evaluation of our experience with our first order of fruit and veggies from FFTF. It will be hard to write this post without it sounding too over the top...but on a scale of 1 to 5 I give our produce share a 10. Hands down.
For starters, everything we received looked beautiful- perfect, unblemished, ripe and delicious food. Tonight we baked some of our sweet potatoes and made a giant salad with the red leaf lettuce, cherry tomatoes, celery, cucumbers, etc. *Disclaimer: I have often bought organic foods at major grocery stores. **Second Disclaimer: My husband DISLIKES salad very much, but eats it so he won't die. ***Third Disclaimer: I kind of hate tomatoes and didn't even eat them until my 21st birthday. Okay, all of that being said, I was slicing and washing and chopping and tasting and OH MY. I said to my husband "taste this celery", "taste this cucumber", "taste these tomatoes!" We couldn't wait for dinner to get to the table. When it was all finally assembled, it was beautiful. My 11 year old forgot to wait for prayers and stuck her fork into her sweet potato proclaiming it to be the yummiest potato she has ever eaten. I must say I agreed. My husband asked for a bowl for his salad (he usually puts a tiny pile on the side of his plate) and proceeded to eat up the salad in mass quantities. After getting to the bottom of the bowl, he announced, "Kind of makes you want to eat more salad..." I actually thoroughly enjoyed the tomatoes and was regretting not ordering a double veggie share because these amazing foods are going to go really fast over here. I have to say we have NEVER tasted such delicious produce. It was truly fantastic. Now I am feeling a tiny bit sorry for myself because I will never feel like picking up something quick from the local store will be okay...I know it is not going to taste like this!!! Amazing. Whoever these owners are- thank you. Thank you for letting us eat your yummy yummy yummy foods!!
A few people (including my husband) questioned not being able to pick out exactly the foods I wanted. For example, there were several tangerines but only one grapefruit. There was also a head of cabbage which I am not sure what to do with yet! But, my answer to them is this: My family was in a dining rut of eating salad, broccoli, carrots, apples, salad, broccoli, carrots, apples, salad, etc... I am happy now that I feel like we will be eating a variety, even if it is not something we normally wouldn't have picked out at the grocery. Variety is good for us all! And, I cannot imagine actually receiving anything in that bunch of food that would not be absolutely delicious.
I am looking forward to finding some new recipes to cook up some different foods. We all know that cabbage goes in cole slaw...what else can I use it for? I'm determined to find out and am looking forward to eating it tomorrow with my asparagus and other goodies!!!
Florida Fields to Forks- we love you! THANK YOU for making beachside deliveries now. We are hooked and are destined to be some of your best customers!!!
The eggs are as fresh as you'll get!
Tremendous amount of produce in the produce share (bring a very large bag for pickup), and the eggs are a fresh as you will get (if you cook a lot, you'll be able to tell the difference, the yolks are bright and the whites are very tight and do not run in your pan when cooking).
New happy members!
